Wildflower Association of Michigan Annual Conference 2020

SAVE THE DATE(S)

Gerould Wilhelm from Conservation Design Forum will be our keynote speaker on both days. The title of his talks will be:“Consilience, Concinnity and The Way” (yes, you will need to Google), and “What, Indeed, is a Native Plant?” I have heard him speak before and spent the whole time in rapt attention.

We are also rounding out the rest of the speaking lineup. Other topics will include restoration agriculture using native plants, birds and biodiversity, climate change, social psychological and ecological effects of urban design, native plants and small lots, lakeshore restoration, rare butterfly conservation, wild rice, gardening for birds, and a golf course restoration.Registration will open just after the new year so look for announcements and links to our registration page. Please also remember that memberships are now on a calendar year format and will be due during conference registration.

During the conference we also present grant awards. Grants are due to be submitted December 21. You can find information on our grant program here:WAM grants.
