July 12-15, 2018 (four days and three nights)
18th Annual Bus Trip Finger Lakes Region of New York State
The Finger Lakes Region is an area of great natural beauty, with eleven finger-shaped lakes surrounded by rolling farmland and vineyards, and punctuated by deep gorges with dramatic waterfalls. Dotted with charming small towns, the region is also home to amazing gardens which will inspire you by their diversity and creativity, including the formal gardens of Sonnenberg in Canandaigua, the native gardens at Taughannock Falls, and the beautiful and unique gardens of the plant-science research center that is Cornell University in Ithaca. We will visit several public and private gardens (both large and small), and explore other venues that reflect the character and flavor of the region. There will truly be something for everyone!
Have fun making new friends, reuniting with past travel companions, and talking “plants” with like-minded people. You do not have to be a Master Gardener to participate, but if you are, you will earn Master Gardener education hours.
The trip includes:
• Transportation by luxury motor coach
• Four days touring and three nights hotel
(one night in Williamsville, NY and two nights in Ithaca, NY)
• Hot breakfast each day and other meals as determined
• Admission to all gardens and venues we visit
• Movies, fun games, prizes, opportunities to shop for plants and garden art,
and evening free time to explore local restaurants and attractions.
